The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County invites you to pay tribute to our community’s most famous son: world-renowned psychic Edgar Cayce. Join hypnotherapist and popular presenter Peter Woodbury in Cayce’s hometown for an exciting weekend of learning, fellowship, and self-discovery.
Check out our Preliminary Schedule!
Peter traces his interest in metaphysics all the way back to his childhood and to his GREAT grandmother. She was a medium and lived to be 107 and was like a grandmother to Peter. Peter was born in Washington D.C., but his father was born and raised in France and his mother was born and raised in Puerto Rico. Thus, Peter is fluent in three languages.
Peter earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Harvard University and his master’s degree in social work from Boston University. He moved to Virginia Beach in 2004 to become part of Edgar Cayce’s Association for Research and Enlightenment. He has been a student of the Cayce work since college and is currently working on his first book due out next year. At the A.R.E., Peter has been the field conferences manager, the headquarters conferences facilitator, the supervisor of the Visitor’s Center, which hosts over 100,000 visitors a year, and is currently a public relations specialist. He is a regular contributor to the Venture Inward magazine. He also finds time to play Edgar Cayce in the very popular one-man show titled “An Evening with Edgar Cayce.”
Peter is an accomplished psychotherapist and hypnotherapist. He teaches the very popular annual A.R.E. Past Life Regression Hypnosis Certification Program, which sells out each year! A popular presenter on key topics from the Cayce readings, Peter speaks on behalf of the A.R.E. around the globe. He also leads A.R.E. tours to sacred sites such as Egypt, Peru, Easter Island & India.
Woodbury will present on Cayce’s message and its meaning and will appear as the psychic himself in “An Evening with Edgar Cayce,” as Mr. Cayce tells the story of his life, answers questions, and talks about the times in which we live.
Immerse yourself in the land where Edgar Cayce was born and reared and where he discovered his remarkable gifts that prompted his life’s work.
