The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County invites you to our next History on Tap on Thursday, August 29 at 6:30pm at Hopkinsville Brewing Company to explore Hopkinsville through the lens of two historic homes.

Grace Abernethy and Jeri Lynn Richardson will share stories of their respective historic homes. Abernethy and her husband own the Monroe Dalton home at 713 East 7th Street and are actively restoring the 1907 structure while Richardson and her husband meticulously care for the Trice Castle at 2000 South Main Street. Using their homes as a launching point, the women will explore the greater stories of Hopkinsville in the early 1900-1910s, a time of major changes in mobility, women’s rights, communication, and so much more.

September’s History on Tap will be on Thursday, September 26. Information about the topic and presenter coming soon…

History on Tap is a free series that seeks to share local history in a relaxed, fun setting. Programs are typically held on the last Thursday of the month at 6:30pm at Hopkinsville Brewing Company.
