Dear art community,
The Hopkinsville History Foundation is hosting its Museum Gala on Saturday, September 21, 2024 to
raise money for the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County. The theme is Metamorphosis
and will celebrate Hopkinsville in the 1910s, a decade of fast-paced change and innovation. Part of the
program will be a silent art auction.
Here’s the twist. The museum staff has selected 6 artifacts that embody the spirit of Hopkinsville in the
1910s. Use one or more of these artifacts as inspiration for a piece of artwork. The artifacts and artwork
will be on display at the museum for the week of September 15th, leading up to the gala. The auction
itself will take place during the gala.

Guidelines:
-Please set a value for your artwork. This will be the starting price for bidding and the amount you receive
from its sale. Any amount raised above this will go to the Museum.
*If you would like to donate all proceeds, please specify on the form.
-Payment will be sent to you by mail.
-Pieces are due at the museum by September 6.
-If your artwork is perishable, please submit a photograph of it by September 6. The actual piece can be
dropped off at the Museum on Friday, September 20.
-Please fill out the attached form and email to info@museumsofhopkinsville.org to register.
-Feel free to think as far inside or outside the box as you’d like!
-Submissions are subject to approval by the HHF.
