Saturday Sleuths: The Derby Dilemma
May 31 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
$3
The Museums of Hopkinsville-Christian County is excited to announce the next installment of the new Saturday Sleuths program on May 31 from 10:30am-11:30am. Designed for children ages 6-12, Saturday Sleuths will invite students to become detectives and help solve a history mystery at the museum on the last Saturday of every month.
In “The Derby Dilemma,” students will learn about horse racing, the Kentucky Derby, and a derby winner named Flying Ebony that was from here in Christian County!
This month we’ll be investigating events that occurred during this time as we try to get to the bottom of a Civil War mystery while learning map skills.
The program will be held at the Pennyroyal Area Museum. The cost of the program is $3, but Museum Members will be given free admission.
If you have any questions, please contact the Museum at (270) 887-4270 or email our Learning Coordinator: brett@museumsofhopkinsville.org.
