August 28 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Free
A bright pink and a bold green decorative headband with feathers and flowers with a blurry background of Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby to promote the Fascinator Workshop on August 28 at 5:30pm at Hopkinsville Brewing Company

The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County invites you to a fun workshop to Make-Your-Own Fascinator on Thursday, August 28 at 6:30pm at Hopkinsville Brewing Company. The workshop will take place before History on Tap: The History of the Kentucky Derby in 10 Objects presented by Jessica K. Whitehead.

Defined as formal headpieces often worn as an alternative to hats, fascinators provide women with a bold, decorative accessory for special occasions. In Kentucky, fascinators are often seen among the large hats at the Kentucky Derby and other horse races. In this workshop, folks can design and build their own masterpieces that can be worn at the Museum’s upcoming gala “Juleps, Jockeys, & Jazz” on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

The workshop is FREE to attend. Supplies will be provided while they last.
