Saturday Sleuths: Alien Art Invasion
August 23 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
$3
The Museums of Hopkinsville-Christian County is excited to announce the next installment of our Saturday Sleuths program on August 23 from 10:30am-11:30am. Designed for children ages 6-12, Saturday Sleuths will invite students to become detectives and help solve a history mystery at the museum on the last Saturday of every month. In August, the date was moved up one week in order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the encounter of “strange visitors” in Kelly, Kentucky, on August 21, 1955.
Be sure to stop by the Museum for an out-of-this-world experience! Aliens abound throughout the exhibit, and you’ll have a chance to capture them in your own artistic ways. Show your creativity as you hunt for strange visitors and complete crafty projects designed to remind you about the events that occurred at the Sutton farm seventy years ago.
The program will be held at the Pennyroyal Area Museum. The cost of the program is $3, but Museum Members will be given free admission.
If you have any questions, please contact the Museum at (270) 887-4270 or email our Learning Coordinator: brett@museumsofhopkinsville.org.
