Spring Break: Down on the Farm

April 3, 2024 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
$2
Spring Break at the Museum features program for kids that is all about local agriculture - from seed to harvest - and its importance to our history. $2 per student. Wednesday from noon until 1pm.

It’s Spring Break, and the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County will be offering daily programs from Noon to 1 p.m. at the Pennyroyal Area Museum.

Haven’t ever visited the museum? Sticking around town instead of planning a big trip? Need something to keep your young learner busy? Stop by the museum each day for a different lesson and activity about our unique local history.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3

Spring Break: Down on the Farm

From seed to harvest, learn how important farming is to our history! With the Pennyroyal Area Museum’s Dark Fire-Cured Tobacco exhibit in the background, kids will learn about our soil and how it has sustained us for centuries. Learning Coordinator Brett will talk about everything ag with a special focus on how farming has impacted our community and how it has changed over the years.

No registration is necessary. We will be charging a special student Spring Break admission rate of $2—and accompanying adults are FREE!
