Museum Monday: All About Batter

July 22, 2024 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

An exhibit featuring a blue and white vase, an exhibit case with artifacts, a table with an open book, and the painting "Girl with a Pearl Earring" create a museum vista. Museum Mondays featuring the topic "All About Batter" on July 22, 2024 at 10:30am at the Pennyroyal Area Museum. Free admission to all students all summer.

Museum Monday: All About Batter tells all about what makes Hopkinsville the “Batter Capital of the World.”  Learn how wheat is grown, processed here into flour, and then packaged to go out into the broader world!  Play our newly-designed “Field to Fork” exhibit game and even make some delicious cornbread!

Each Monday through August 19 will feature special programming at 10:30am at the Pennyroyal Area Museum, too. Each Museum Monday program will allow student visitors to learn about the purpose of museums while discovering new and exciting details about our community through special presentations and activities like creating their own museum exhibits, studying artifacts, investigating historical events, and more!

No need to register for this FREE program! Big thanks to Mayor J.R. Knight and the City of Hopkinsville for providing for FREE admission to all students this summer.

This and all Museum Monday programs are suitable for students ages 5-12.

For more information on these programs or anything else, follow us on Facebook or give us a call at 270-887-4270.
